Accompanying & Co-Creating

The Xala With Heart Foundation accompanies the neighboring communities, embarking on a shared journey of co-creating a prosperous future. XWH wholeheartedly embraces Xala’s visionary outlook and aligns our values harmoniously.

Nestled amidst the Mexican rural landscape, José María Morelos and Higuera Blanca communities are home to more than 3,500 residents who intimately experience the intricate mosaic of their surroundings.

José María Morelos & Higuera Blanca

The coastal community of José María Morelos is home to more than 3,000 residents. At the heart of town is a statue honoring the town’s namesake, José María Morelos, a priest who fought for equality during Mexico’s independence.

This agricultural community is known for producing salt, mango, watermelon, and chili peppers, representative of a typical Mexican town.

The vibrant central plaza reflects the spirit of the community, with neighbors gathering daily to enjoy local food and connect with one another. Xala partners with the town of José María Morelos to understand and meet the needs of this close-knit coastal community.
